Bedtime stories are one of my favourite parts of our day. It doesn’t take much encouragement from the girls to get me reading for half an hour or more.
This evening, after reading a whole Rainbow Fairies book to them (Chloe the Topaz fairy, if you’re interested) the girls were claiming not to be tired so I said they could look at some books for 10 minutes before I turned their light off. When I walked past their bedroom 2 minutes later they were both curled up on the Big One’s bed. The Little One was listening avidly as the Big One read her another of the Rainbow Fairies books. Bedtimes don’t get much better than that. Long may it continue…
