On Tuesday I spent a relaxing afternoon in the sun. There was swimming with a friend, where there was more talking and giggling than swimming, followed by some sunbathing. Then it was time to get dressed up for dinner which was eaten outside in the early evening sunshine.
It was bliss.
But unfortunately not for me. It was a playdate for the Big One with her new friend and they enjoyed all the above activities. I can see my girls doing exactly the same thing as teenagers in 10 years time.
They might not dress up as Disney princesses then, however. And dinner might have to be more sophisticated than fish fingers, potato wedges and baked beans!
